Watterson Construction is dedicated to sustainability in design and construction. We currently have six LEED Accredited Professionals on staff, one Green Advantage certified employee, and we are a member of US Green Building Council (USGBC). We are actively pursuing technologies and techniques that will aid in producing sustainable buildings. Keeping an eye on the environmental impact of our methods for construction helps us to use our resources more efficiently and aids us in providing our clients with structures that are better for the environment.

Many of the concepts included in the LEED program also minimize life cycle cost. High-performance window glazing, improved framing techniques, additional insulation and selection of energy efficient lighting and equipment will reduce the energy use of the building.
The following projects have achieved USGBC certification, including the first certified for the Corp of Engineers and the Anchorage School District.
